Chewy Chocolatey Brownies

Ingredients:
½ cup
(125 mL)
butter
3 squares
unsweetened chocolate
1¼ cups
(300 mL)
sugar
1 tsp
(5 mL)
pure vanilla extract
3
egg
⅔ cup
(150 mL)
Five Roses® All Purpose Flour
½ tsp
(2 mL)
baking powder
½ tsp
(2 mL)
salt
½ cup
(125 mL)
chopped nuts
Directions:
- Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan on low heat, stirring until smoothly blended. Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla and eggs. Beat well.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to chocolate mixture, stirring until well blended. Stir in nuts.
- Spread in greased 9" (2.5 L) square cake pan.
- Bake at 350º (180ºC) for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired and cut into squares.
